In 1951 Mr.
Heinrich Braun and Mr. Albert Wettberg established the Company Braun,
Wettberg & Co. in the small town of Beerfelden in West Germany.
The Company
specialized in the production of fine brushes and it expanded rapidly.
In 1954 a new department for the production of artificial fibres
was included and by 1957 the first two summer ski jumps in Germany
had been covered with mats made in the artificial fibre department
of Braun, Wettberg & Co. Today the range of artificial fibres comprises
PVC, polypropylene, Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. |

In 1959 the factory
moved to a new and much larger production site and a modern office building
in Beerfelden.
The factory's production
range of brushes has constantly expanded and now comprises of a large
variety of hair, bath, nail and clothes brushes as well as many gift items
such as shaving sets, tie and belt hangers and many more articles in attractive
gift packaging.

In 1998 Braun & Wettberg GmbH,
was FSC® certified.
By using FSC® certified wood a sustainable cultivation of the forests worldwide is guaranteed.
Also with regard to
all raw materials and accessories it is made sure that they are
environmentally friendly. |

A large percentage
of the products are exported overseas and the United States and Great
Britain are the main importing countries, but also the Netherlands, France,
Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia as well as Japan and Australia are important
export markets.
